Single since birth, Yuan Qian and Qin Shen are two people who will probably end up being single for life because they want to. Set against the backdrop of an art school, the story follows students who overcome many difficulties to pursue their artistic ideals. Qin Shen is a student who dreams of becoming a sculptor. A freshman in their department, he is like a god-level existence in their school - cold, disciplined and a perfectionist. However, girls mean nothing to him and he finds dating to be a complete waste of time. Yuan Qian has the appearance of the cute girl next door but has a headstrong personality. She is eloquent and determined such that no one can stop her once she sets her mind to something. However, she has a tendency to pick at other people's shortcomings so much that no guy can impress her.
Episodes
Episode 1
Yuan Qian is trying to switch her major from sculpting to painting but runs into a problem in the form of Qin Shen. When these two run into each other it seems like disaster strikes.
Episode 2
Before and during the basketball competition Yuan Qian and Qin Shen are constantly butting heads together though he starts to feel bad when he sees Yuan Qian being mistreated by the other team.
Episode 3
Yuan helps Luo Xinxin get her money back by following Chen Hao. This leads to a horrible confrontation between Yuan and Chen and she is helped by an unexpected person.
Episode 4
Yuan Qian, Qin Shen and Jia Sicheng get picked by professor Jin to work on a Scultping project together for an amusement park with seniors in their university.
Episode 5
Qin Shen runs into a problem and is not able to meet Yuan Qian for dinner causing Yuan Qian to be upset and downplaying its significance to her.
Episode 6
Rehearsal start for the school competition and the sculpting class realizes they will have to come up with a new idea. Song Siyi comes up with an idea and they decide to use it with minor changes from Qin Shen.
Episode 7
The sculpting class goes on a trip together to celebrate and Song Siyi comes along. Yi Ming and Chen Qinan misinterpret Yuan Qian attentions towards Qin Shen as romantic when in reality she just wants her misplaced papers back.
Episode 8
Yuan Qian and Qin Shen are late in getting back to their dorms and both lose five points over it. Yuan Qin needs the five points and finally finds a way to gain them back and in the process she begins to spend more time with Song Siyi.
Episode 9
Yuan Qian gets closer to Song Siyi when she learns his secret by following him. Qin Shen decides that he needs to figure out whether Yuan Qian likes him through suggestions from Chen Qinan.
